History

Alpha Landscaping began with a single push mower and a 12-year-old entrepreneur, Austin Halsey, who started mowing lawns for neighbors in his community. Over the years, Austin’s dedication to quality, reliability, and customer relationships transformed his small neighborhood service into a trusted local landscaping brand.
 
As the company expanded, Austin partnered with Evan Maillet, a University of South Florida graduate with a degree in Entrepreneurship. Together, they combined hands-on experience with business expertise to build a company focused on professionalism, innovation, and exceptional client care.
 
Today, Alpha Landscaping proudly serves hundreds of residential and commercial clients, offering comprehensive landscape maintenance with the same integrity and work ethic that started it all. What began as one mower has grown into a full-service operation committed to enhancing properties and delivering unmatched service across the communities we serve.

Our Story

Alpha Landscaping LLC was established in 2020 by Austin C. Halsey.  What started as a passion for working outdoors has grown into a full-service landscaping company serving the entire Davenport and nearby communities. We saw a gap in the local market for a landscaper who shows up on time, communicates clearly, and delivers consistent “Alpha-level” results. 

Today, we are proud to be one of the most trusted names in Polk County for everything from routine maintenance to complete backyard transformations.

Austin Halsey — Founder

Austin Halsey began Alpha Landscaping at just 12 years old with a single push mower and a commitment to helping his neighbors maintain beautiful yards. What started as a small local service quickly grew through Austin’s dedication, work ethic, and passion for landscaping. Now 23, Austin has built Alpha Landscaping into a respected full-service company serving residential and commercial clients across Central Florida. He continues to lead with a hands-on approach, focusing on quality, customer satisfaction, and long-term relationships.

Evan Mailet — Partner

Evan Maillet is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Entrepreneurship. With a strong background in business development and a passion for building client-focused service organizations, Evan joined Alpha Landscaping as a partner to help scale the company’s growth. He plays a key role in strategic planning, operations, and customer relations, ensuring the company delivers exceptional value at every level. Evan’s blend of business expertise and community-focused leadership helps drive Alpha Landscaping’s continued success across Central Florida.
